Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 6, 2026

Paynary is a private AI subscription and payment assistant. This Privacy Policy explains how Paynary collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you connect Gmail or use Paynary features.

Information Paynary collects

  • Google profile information, including your name, email address, and profile photo.
  • Gmail message metadata, including sender, subject, snippet, labels, and dates.
  • Gmail message body text needed to classify subscriptions, card purchases, transfers, service payments, and bank payment alerts.
  • Structured results generated by Paynary, such as merchant name, amount, currency, renewal date, movement type, bank name, and confidence signals.
  • App settings, sync history, billing usage estimates, and support messages you choose to send us.

Google OAuth scopes Paynary requests

  • openid, email, and profile to identify the connected user.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly to read Gmail messages selected for classification.

Paynary does not request permission to send, delete, draft, or modify Gmail messages.

How Paynary uses Gmail data

Paynary uses Gmail data only to provide user-facing features: detecting subscriptions, detecting bank movements, showing spending indicators, allowing users to review detections, and helping users understand upcoming renewals and recent payment activity.

Gmail content may be processed by Paynary-controlled infrastructure and an AI provider solely to classify messages and return structured results to the user. Paynary does not use Gmail data for advertising, retargeting, credit decisions, selling data, or building unrelated user profiles.

Limited Use statement

Paynary's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Storage and retention

Paynary stores account metadata, detected subscriptions, detected bank movements, sync settings, and usage records needed to provide the app. Gmail access tokens are treated as sensitive credentials. Paynary keeps data only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, and maintain security.

Sharing and processors

Paynary may share limited data with service providers that help operate the service, such as hosting, infrastructure, analytics strictly for product reliability, customer support, and AI processing. These providers may process data only to provide services to Paynary. Paynary does not sell Google user data.

Security

Paynary uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data, including HTTPS, access controls, separation of client and server credentials, and limiting Gmail access to read-only scopes. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but Paynary works to reduce risk and limit access.

User controls and deletion

You can disconnect Gmail in Paynary and revoke access from your Google Account. You can also request deletion of Paynary account records by following the instructions on the Data deletion page or contacting support@paynary.app.

Children

Paynary is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

Paynary may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. If material changes are made, Paynary will update the effective date and provide notice where appropriate.
